In high school, Krulan was captain of the Varsity Cross Country & Lacrosse team. But, When she began to pursue an undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor she put sports aside and focused on her art. Later on, In her senior year at Michigan when Brynn started craving fitness, She tried Bikram Yoga. Brynn states, “I was not a flexible person. I could not even bend over and touch my toes with my legs straight. In High School I was always the athlete who skipped out on stretching, I did not realize how important and relevant stretching was for my performance at that time. I became obsessed with Bikram Yoga, it was such a challenge for me and I wanted to conquer it.”
A few months after completing school, She began working at lululemon Athletica. While practicing Bikram at a local studio, Brynn received an opinion from her co-workers to join “CrossFit” with them. Therefore, Within weeks She started learning many new things. Further, She started participating in the competition. Kurlan believes flexibility played an important role in many of the movements in her life. Moreover, Brynn started doing yoga to better her performance in CrossFit.
For This, Kurlan Brynn enrolled in Ohra Yoga School and completed her graduation as a 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher in 2015. Furthermore, At the end of 2015, She became a CrossFit Level-1 Trainer. Nowadays, Kurlan persevering with her passion for teaching yoga for various CrossFit boxes, sports teams, and individual athletes and living in Westchester, New York.
